AUG 29, 2011 - DAKOTALAPSE is celestial healing, of a sort. Randy Halverson is something of a multimedia genius, as evidenced by the compositions he has put together for us here at DAKOTALAPSE. These time-lapse photo presentations set to music are breath-taking experiences, the kind that make us grateful to witness the wonders of this world. Wonders like the Milky Way, one of Halverson's favorite subjects - and mine, and I'll bet yours too, once you view it. With a shrill media cacophony of death and destruction doing its best to weasel its way into the soundtrack of our lives, it's a blessing to have serenity ready to hand by means of something like DAKOTALAPSE. The irony is that it's so hard for most of us to find except virtually, in this age of light-polluted urban and suburban night skies, when we so deeply need it. Yeah, we can turn inward. But there was a time when we could just look up.
