AUG 1, 2011 - SunStorms! shapes up to be timely reading this month, particularly around the middle of August. Get ready, get up to speed on "the biggest explosions in the solar system," and keep your eyes on the sky over the next few weeks. Solar flares and million-mile-an-hour cornonal mass ejections are coming, and this page will let you know what to expect. As for when to expect 'em, take a look at my August forecast. With any luck, we'll just see a bunch of pretty auroral displays. If our luck doesn't hold, and the CMEs are pointed right at us - well, then things could get a bit messy. I'm thinking it's more a case of the former than the latter, myself.
