Website Of the Week Award ©2010 by Richard Nolle |
NOV 8, 2010 - Solar Cycle 24 is an excellent resource for people interested in near-real time coverage of solar flares, CMEs and the like. Without the hype and hysteria so common in so many websites covering solar activity, Solar Cycle 24 will likely be more and more important as we get into the next Mercury Max cycle (which starts December 1). That M5.4-class solar flare that made headlines last week as the most powerful solar flare in a couple years will easily be surpassed more than once between next month and next spring. Can you say X-Class? But don't worry, because things out in space have nothing to do with us down here on Earth, right? (Isn't that what the skeptics tell you?)
