NOV 9, 2009 - Armageddon Online is a fun site to visit, if the spectacle of a horrific end to everything is one of your secret pleasures. It is, isn't it? I'm no fan of the end of the world myself, if for no other reason than I've lived through so many of them - just like, provided I'm still around then, I expect to survive the so-called "Mayan Prophecy". Seriously boys and girls, can you say "marketing hype"? One of my favorite aspects of Armageddon Online is that it's produced by some level-headed people who, despite the sensationalism that is their stock-in-trade, don't mind letting visitors in on the secret that the Mayans never predicted the world would end in 2012, and that - duh! - all the end of the world prophecies to date have been nonsense. (Take the top ten, for example.) C'mon, people: are we so petty that, because we're mortal, we want to see this beautiful world go down with us? Doesn't that sound even the slightest bit warped to you? (Answer honestly!) And if you still take vicarious pleasure in contemplating every possible disaster that might befall our world, well then, have your fill of them at Armageddon Online.
