MAY 7, 2007 - Cosmus is an online outreach project by a group of scientists and science communicators (science writers is such an archaic term?) who provide visuals that help explain scientific theories and findings. The focus here, which makes this a website of particular interest to astrophiles everywhere, is on astronomy, astrophysics and cosmology. Do be sure to see the section on the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy, which illustrates how the orbits of stars near GC (Galactic Center) testify to the unseen supermass at the heart of our Milky Way. You can't see a black hole, but you can tell that it's there . . .
