JUN 20, 2005 - Planetarium is the best astronomy software I've found so far, for Palm OS PDAs and smartphones. (I have Version 2.3.1g, and it works great on my Treo 650.) The program turns your Palm into a pocket sky map, the better to help you locate stars, planets and constellations in the night. Set your home location - or select or key in alternates if you're traveling - and key in the time, and you get an accurate representation of the heavens for that time and place. (There's a night mode display option that really is easy to read in the dark.) There's so much to this $31.95 program that I can't begin to cover it all here. Check out the website, download the free demo, and then I'm sure you'll be as delighted as I was to pay the modest fee to register it.
