MAR 22, 2004 - A Gathering of Planets is the sight we'll see in the western sky at sunset this week, and it's also the name of the NASA site that points us in the right direction. It starts tonight at sundown, and continues through the end of the month: all five naked eye planets gathered together for the first time in several years, and for the last time until 2008. Look to the west at the new moon, with Mercury directly below it. From Mercury, follow the arc up to Venus in all its brilliance, then Mars, then Saturn and Jupiter. It's the kind of sight that stirred the hearts and minds of our ancestors: let it work its magic on you, too.
