Website Of the Week Award ©2003 by Richard Nolle |
DEC 22, 2003 - Venus & Mars Christmas is really a couple of timely websites. The first gives you a heads-up on the European Space Agency's Beagle 2 lander, which if all goes well will touch down on Mars Christmas Day, in search of life on the Red Planet. With any luck, Beagle 2 will start broadcasting within a few hours, letting us know its findings. Meanwhile, we earthbound humans will have some sights to see in our own skies this week, even as our mechanical minions explore other worlds. Moon & Venus Adorn Christmas Sky is space.com's heads-up on the glorious Moon-Venus alignment that will grace the evening sky on Christmas night. (If you miss it then, you'll have several more chances in 2004.)
