JAN 8, 2001 - Cosmos in a Computer is a great place to visit anytime you'd like to see some cosmological vistas played out on your own computer. Wanna see a cinematic rendition of the Big Bang? Cosmos in a Computer has it - along with a slew of other cosmological animations, articles on the Frontiers of Cosmology, and lots more. Plenty enough to melt down your modem if you poke through every nook and cranny, that's for sure. It's all part of the NCSA Science for the Millennium website, incidentally: lots more fertile grounds for exploration there, in case you're the curious type.
Technically speaking, Web Site Garage rates Cosmos in a Computer fair over-all, poor in load time (35.92 seconds at 28.8k). By comparison, the page you're now reading rates excellent in both categories, with a load time of 9.02 seconds at 28.8k.
