OCT 4, 1999 - Center for Archaeoastronomy is a gateway to online ancient astronomy, and that makes it a nexus no astrologer can afford to ignore. Founded in 1978 at the University of Maryland, and an independent nonprofit institution sincel 1985, the Center for Archaeoastronomy publishes a journal and a newsletter devoted to its subject field. Copies of both may be ordered by mail; contents of the journal and abstracts from the newsletter may be viewed online. Apart from a brief introduction to archaeoastronomy, the real treasures in this website lie in its links to related online resources. Follow up on those - they're at the end of the introduction - and you're tapped into the mother lode from which all astrologies trace their origin.
Technical note: Web Site Garage rates Center for Archaeoastronomy good over-all, fair in load time (23.99 seconds with a 28.8k modem). In comparison, the page you're now reading rates excellent in both categories, loading in 9.61 seconds at 28.8k.
