AUG 30, 1999 - Horoscope-O-Matic is "sun sign astrology" done up in style. Which is to say, it's a total spoof. But it's a very stylish spoof, what with its Macromedia Shockwave delivery. Don't worry, if you don't have Shockwave, you can download it free from the link at Horoscope-O-Matic. (If you're using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, you'll need the corresponding Active-X control, also free for the downloading at Horoscope-O-Matic.) Even more ridiculous than those 'twelve sizes fit all' horoscopes found in the ubiquitous sun sign books, newspaper and magazine columns - if that's possible - Horoscope-O-Matic delivers lunatic advice for all signs. And if you don't like what you get at first, you can move the planets around and get yourself a different reading thanks to the miracle of Shockwave. Which is a remarkable advance, if you think about it: "sun sign astrology" being patently absurd by definition, why not have some fun with the stuff?

Technical note: Web Site Garage rates Horoscope-O-Matic fair over-all, poor in load time (95.16 seconds with a 28.8k modem - the price you pay for a snazzy ShockWave show, but worth it in this case for the novelty alone).
