Six SuperMoons (including two of the year’s four eclipses) and two planetary Max Cycles (Mercury and Venus): that’s just the tip of the iceberg as far as 2015 is concerned. This is another in a train of world historic years leading into a whole new Order of the Ages, as I’ve been saying for years now.
Last year’s World Forecast Highlights (published in December 2013) laid out the headlines of 2014 in advance for you. Before I do likewise with 2015, I should point out that one major theme this year is the same as last year’s: the Uranus-Pluto square. This 90° arc between these two planets only comes along every three generations or so; hence the saying "shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in three generations." When it comes, it persists for several years, on and off. Also, when it comes, a tide of revolutionary change rolls through human civilization. At the socio-economic level, a formerly comfortable, or at least tolerable, distribution of wealth and resources breaks down. The 99% then turn against their masters – who in response try a combination of reform and repression to forestall outright revolution. What starts as protests and demonstrations evolves into strikes and riots – and very often into revolution and civil war. The latter too often becomes war between nations. And that, as I said, is just the tip of the iceberg.
The Uranus-Pluto Square
Look at the headlines since 2011, when this alignment first moved to within a few degrees of exact. Everything I just described – and predicted in advance of the fact – is exactly what you’ve seen. And as Uranus and Pluto make yet another exact alignment on March 17, 2015, and remain within a few degrees of exact on and off all the way into early 2016 – well, you know what to expect this year. Only with a twist this time, because there’s a very important new factor in the mix, as the last Jupiter-Saturn square before the Great Mutation conjunction of these two planets takes place in 2020. (The Great Mutation, also known as the Great Chronocrator Trigonalis, occurs only once in some 200 years.) The August 3, 2015 Jupiter-Saturn quadrature is the first in a "three-peat" series of this alignment.
The long and the short of it is that 2015 will be another year chock full of milestones, which I’ll detail as we go. Starting with the year’s Uranus-Pluto square, you can be sure that everything this alignment portends will be all over the headlines. As I’ve written for years now, the Uranus-Pluto heralds upheaval in the economic system and the financial infrastructure. This in turn causes hardship and dislocation, as more and more people slip into worse and worse financial circumstances, through job loss and asset devaluation. Economic security? It isn’t nonexistent, but it becomes increasingly rare.
Technological revolution and the concentration of wealth and power into fewer hands results in a more dominant plutocracy as Uranus and Pluto form their square alignment. The middle and lower classes are in turn left with less and less, becoming more and more desperate, more hopeless, more powerless. Inevitably, the masses grow restive. In their private lives, all this stress increasingly manifests as crime, starting with domestic violence; and the extreme case of murder-suicide wiping out entire families becomes more and more common. Rape, robbery, vehicular homicide, suicide by cop and mass murder likewise become almost commonplace.
You know it’s true. You’ve seen it in the headlines these past several years; e.g. in the increasing incidents of mass shootings in schools and workplaces. You’ll see plenty more of the same in 2015, most especially while Uranus and Pluto are within a few degrees of their exact square, from January into May and again from late November 2015 into early April 2016. Potent Mars alignments combine with other celestial factors to intensify such violent outbreaks on and off for just about the entire year: January 1-20, March 2-16, April 10-19, May 30-June 23, July 11-30, September 19-30, October 10-24 and December 1-16. Lots of turmoil, in other words . . . miles to go before we sleep.
What I’ve just described is focused on how these alignments impinge on our personal lives. You’ll see it in the rising tide of frustration and impatience in yourself and others. Although this applies to all of us, it’s most especially directly relevant to those of us born with important astrological factors around the middle of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn), as well as around the beginning of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces). Check your chart!
While these micro manifestations strike especially close to home, the macro end of things is inescapable. The global collapse of economic structures and financial institutions that began under the Saturn-Uranus opposition of 2008-2009 – as predicted in my 2008 World Forecast Highlights – set the stage for the turmoil rocking civilization under the 2011-2016 Uranus-Pluto square. Watching the collapse, seeing their fortunes go down while the rich and powerful (the plutocracy) grow even more powerful and prosperous, the underclasses first grow discontented, then desperate. And then they revolt. Look back on the Arab Spring, the Occupy and "Black lives Matter" movements in the US, and like demonstrations and then riots in so many places around the world: Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, Spain, Greece, France, England and all over the Middle East. Many of these movements have already turned into revolutions, some into outright civil war.
With the Uranus-Pluto square lingering into 2016, we can be sure that all of 2015 is a continuation of this social and political revolution. And again, this will be most sharply evident during the dates when Uranus and Pluto are within a few degrees of their exact square, from January into May and again from late November 2015 into early April 2016. Likewise, the potent Mars alignments mentioned above combine with other celestial factors to intensify especially violent mass conflict on and off for just about the entire year: January 1-20, March 2-16, April 10-19, May 30-June 23, July 11-30, September 19-30, October 10-24 and December 1-16.
Bear in mind that, just as every coin has two sides, the turbulence heralded by the current Uranus-Pluto quadrature means much more than social and political revolution. It also refers to scientific and technological breakthroughs, of a sort that radically changes the world. Examples to date include the discovery of the Higgs boson and the discovery of organic molecules on Mars. Breakthroughs in astrophysics and quantum physics, in biotechnology and medicine, in artificial intelligence . . . even the confirmation of extraterrestrial life . . . that’s what we’re in the middle of during this watershed moment in history.
If any of this sounds unlikely, just look back to the 1930s – the last time Uranus and Pluto formed their square alignment. It was a waning (270°) square then, the mirror image of today’s waxing (90°) square, but it still boils down to these two planets being 90° apart. Review the history of the 1930s, the social and financial turmoil then, the geopolitical conflict, even some eerily parallel themes. These include Germany annexing and invading its neighbors (Austria, the Sudetenland), much as Russia is today annexing Crimea and parts of Ukraine. There was the clash of Japan and China then, just as the two threaten each other and all of Asia today. And of course the labor strife and class warfare everywhere, and the racial animus here in the US and elsewhere. And remember what the 1930s initiated: the greatest global conflict in history.
