The Skinny

Frankly, I’m overwhelmed with work from client consultation calls and report orders these past couple months; to the point that I have to throttle back on this month’s forecast. There’s just no room in my schedule for it right now.

But never fear, you’ll find this month covered in detail in the full version of my 2015 World Forecast Highlights. March is, after all, home to the third (and arguably most important) of this year’s three consecutive stealth SuperMoons (on the 20th); as well as the signature alignment of the year, the Uranus-Pluto square (exact on the 17th). And then there’s the Mercury-Sun superior conjunction on the 10th, heralding a solar-geomagnetic storm surge on the 24th (give or take three days, watch for breaking news of M and X-class solar flares and notable geomagnetic storms (Kp 5 and up).

The long and the short of it: expect a continuation (and intensification all month, especially around the 17th) of the socio-political uproar that’s been the central theme of world events these last four years, when Uranus and Pluto first drew within a few degrees of their exact quadrature. Look back to the 1930s (the last time this configuration appeared) for hints. Think revolution (political, scientific, economic and technological) to be at the center of the human maelstrom Think new planets and a new planet, as well as new paradigms from the quantum to the cosmological. As for that stealth SuperMoon eclipse on the 20th, this is the big one for 2015 to date. It’s within a couple hours of the vernal equinox, and will be in effect from the 13th through the 27th (extended because it’s a solar eclipse).

I figure that the March 13-27 geophysical shock window may conjure some of the most notable tidal, storm and seismic action of the year to date, as this often happens with SuperMoons (and eclipses) near the equinoxes. In other words, I’m expecting a bigger crescendo of geophysical uproar this time around; more and bigger extreme tides, powerful storms with high winds and heavy precipitation, and a greater surge in moderate-to-severe seismic activity (including M5+ earthquakes and volcanic eruptions).

Practically speaking, the vast majority of us will come no closer to this kind of uproar than seeing or hearing it in the news of the day. While the potential is widespread due to the astronomical scale of the alignment, the Earth is after all roomy enough that more of us will be missed than hit by these disturbances of the earth, seas and skies. Still, even those of us who don’t live in zones of seismic or tidal risk dwell under the sky, and storms can pop up anywhere. So be prepared, just in case . . . and maybe especially if you live in one of the astro-locality target zones for the March 20 SuperMoon.

These zones of special vulnerability include a longitudinal (north-south) swath through Alaska and the east central Pacific Ocean, and one through western Greenland and down through the western Atlantic across eastern Brazil. Another pair in the eastern hemisphere runs from western Russia through the Middle East and across east Africa out into the Southern Ocean; and from East Asia (Siberia, China, the Korean Peninsula and western Japan, down through the Philippine Islands, Indonesia and west central Australia.

Don’t forget that SuperMoons are not just geophysical. They’re personal too. People will become more emotional, intuitive and instinctive during the March 17-23 SuperMoon window. Not a good time to seek out detailed methodical answers! This will likely be felt most directly by people born under important planetary placements and other horoscopic points at or near 29³ of the mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. Check your chart! And if you see signs of reclusive behavior, withdrawal and the like in yourself and those around you – well, expect it to ease up after the 27th. Unless, that is, you get caught up in the solar and geomagnetic storms I’m expecting within a few days either way of the 24th, in the wake of the Mercury-Sun superior conjunction on the 10th. Some people are very sensitive to such Sunstorms – much as satellites and other network (as well as power) infrastructure are vulnerable. Be ready with backups and a backup plan, just in case!

The March 20 SuperMoon eclipse is the major geophysical harbinger of the month, but not the only one. Also be aware of the March 2-8 full moon shock window: another uptick in strong storms, high tides, and moderate to severe seismic activity (M5+ quakes and newsworthy volcanic eruptions).

Last but not least, be aware that the Ringed Planet spends the whole of March within a fraction of a degree of its retrograde station on the 14th. This is karma knocking at the door, debts called, and hard falls (financial and otherwise). A good time to go to cash, and then buy back in when the storm passes (say, in April). Be cautious, think safety and security.
