There are forty-one Gregorian calendar anteblue moons in the 20th Century, defined as the first of two consecutive full moons falling in the same month. They occur between the 1st and 2nd of the month in the eighth to twelfth degrees of a (tropical zodiac) sign; i.e. from 7d 0m 1s to 11d 59m 59s, generally at intervals of 2-1/2 to 3 years. However three years in this century have two anteblue moons (and blue moons as well): 1915, 1961 and 1999.
Only three 20th Century anteblue moons are also lunar eclipses, none of them total: March 2 1904 (also a perigee lunation), March 1 1915 and March 1 1980. A total of nine anteblue moons are perigee lunations - a lunation which occurs when the Moon is at or near (within 90% or greater) its closest approach to Earth. One of these (December 2 1990) is an extreme proxigee lunation, defined as a lunation which occurs when the Moon is at greater than 100% of its mean perigee (typically a full moon at or near Earth's perihelion).
There are at this moment only about 6.7 million people now living who were born on the day of an anteblue moon.
