Professional Astrologer Richard Nolle's JUNE 1998 FORECAST |

If you were expecting some kind of sun sign nonsense, forget it. This is real astrology. See the section above. Please note: this forecast is expressed in terms of Universal Time (UT). Current UT date and time are at the end of this paragraph. (To update display, click on your browser's reload/refresh button.)
What I see for this month can be summed up pretty quickly, since the major celestial action is rather sparse in its own right . . .
The strong Mars aspects which have been so prominent since late March are in a wrap-up phase this month, pretty well coming to a close after the Red Planet opposes Pluto on the 2nd. Within a couple days after that date, we should see a diminishing of the intensified competitiveness, irritability, aggression and the like which have been so prominent for the last couple of months. But until we get past that aspect, you can still expect a greater than usual number of noteworthy conflicts and confrontation (crimes of violence, military clashes of one kind or another) . . . as well as an increase in spectacular fires, explosions (some by design) and accidents. Speaking of which, the risk for aircraft accidents remains a bit higher than usual through the end of June, tapering off early July. Flying is still statistically the safest way to travel, but the admirable safety record isn't up to its usual standards this month.
With no SuperMoons, eclipses etc. this month, the worldwide weather for June looks fairly good overall. The full moon on the 10th comes less than 24 hours after Saturn enters Taurus, and it does suggest an increased probability of strong storms, flooding and moderate to severe seismic activity (including volcanic eruptions and Richter 5 or greater earthquakes). This risk period extends three days either side of the sun-moon alignment, so be on the lookout from the 7th through the 13th. Likewise, the new moon on the 24th ups the ante for flooding, strong storms and moderate to severe seismic activity between the 21st and 27th although in this case, the risk of such calamities appears to be a bit less than in the case of the full moon.
Saturn's Taurus ingress on the 10th opens the door for the major correction in the equity markets I predicted long ago for 1998. While the strongest such signal centers around August 15 (in effect by a one degree orb from July 12 to September 18), the drop could happen virtually any time from about June 5 onwards. When it does happen, look for a drop in major equity markets in excess of ten percent quite possibly considerably more than that. (I figure something in the neighborhood of 15% is a realistic minimum.) With Saturn in Taurus squaring Neptune in Aquarius, you can expect speculative bubbles to burst big time. (For more on this configuration, see my Saturn-Neptune square table.)
